Adobe Releases AIR For Linux

AIR has already reached its 1.0 final release status on Mac OS X and Windows. And at a press event last February, Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch gave a brief preview of the Linux version of AIR, promising that it would be released very soon.

Adobe has a high hopes for AIR’s success on the Linux platform. And they are expecting to see AIR fuel a new growth spurt in the Linux application ecosystem. AIR is a platform which enables all the programmers to build web applications that also run on the desktop. AIR apps will do everything web apps do.
